About the Job
The role is located at the Kettering Production Plant and is responsible for managing all Operational Technology (OT) equipment, including ethernet switches, production servers, SAN storage, firewalls, server OS and applications, databases, and data backups. You will lead the site OT Automation Engineering agenda, encompassing both IT and OT. Responsibilities include setting up, monitoring, and preparing planned maintenance schedules and security patching, owning the OT hardware and software landscape, designing and implementing OT infrastructure projects with external specialists, and contributing to the yearly budget cycle.
As the Cybersecurity Owner for Kettering, you will monitor and eliminate cyber risks, ensure compliance with the Danone Cyber Policy, maintain the asset inventory and systems documentation, execute backup and restore activities, and manage the obsolescence inventory. Performance will be assessed through cybersecurity audits and system availability metrics.
You will keep all technical documentation up to date, support the Maintenance Team Leader in training engineers, aid in root‑cause analysis, and ensure effective knowledge transfer. You will also provide local OT technical support for projects.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Sciences, or comparable experience.
- Understanding of IT/OT technology:
- Servers and SAN disk storage.
- Network architecture and technology (Cisco, fibre and copper networks).
- Thin clients.
- Cybersecurity concepts, firewall technology, PAM, antivirus.
- Virtualization (VMware, VeeAM Backup and Restore).
- Windows OS, Active Directory.
- SQL Server databases.
- Structured approach in projects, changes, and documentation.
- Ability to translate business needs to internal and external IT specialists.
- Value reliability over technical complexity.
- Interest in manufacturing processes and application of IT/OT technology; familiarity with PLCs and HMI is a plus.
- At least 3 years in a similar environment.
Soft Skills
- Fluent communication in English.
- Knowledge of safety, quality, food safety, GMP, human resources, and environmental protection rules.
- Applied knowledge of electronics and control technology.
