Role Purpose
Deliver sustainable, profitable new business within the foodservice channel. Developing and nurturing a key National Wholesaler across their customer base as well as engaging internal cross‑functional teams to help deliver the channel strategy.
Key Activities
- Customer Profitability: Net Sales, investment and customer profitability responsibility including all Danone categories. Delivering the annual, quarterly and monthly channel targets, driving profitable growth for both Danone and our Customers. Delivery of profitable growth for both Danone and customer through yearly Joint Business Plans.
- Execution: Ensuring flawless execution of plans and agreed activations throughout the year. Regular site visits to know what is happening on the ground and identify opportunities.
- Promotional, Investment and Price Management: Managing the promotional and pricing plans, ensuring these are aligned internally. Review return on investment internally and externally, tweaking the plans where relevant. Build a Dcomm plan for year optimizing spend vs activity.
- Customer Engagement: Support the building and execution of our channel‑specific plans. Identifying and realising new business opportunities in line with channel strategy to unlock value. Delivery of internal and external P&L targets. Working closely with supply chain to foresee any challenges and ensure clear consistent communication is delivered externally to maximise business continuity. Lead the development and delivery of customer contacts across every level and function.
About You
- Leadership: Good relationship building skills. Able to work autonomously to find solutions to challenges. Able to build their network and can engage others through clear communication.
- Functional: Ability to deliver a demand led JBP. Ability to use questioning and listening to gain true customer needs. Good commercial acumen with clear examples of strong P&L management. Able to demonstrate experience of well‑prepared negotiations including ‘must gets’, ‘wish list’ and ‘concessions’. Experience of managing Bidfood would be preferential.
Salary Bracket: £47,000.00‑£55,000.00 per annum, in addition to bonus & benefits.
