We have a fantastic opportunity for a Manufacturing Technician to join our team at the Liverpool plant on fixed-term or permanent roles!
In this hands-on role, you’ll be at the heart of our production operations—running equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring product quality, and supporting continuous improvement. What will I be doing day to day?
- Operate production equipment in compliance with health and safety, GMP, and best-practice guidelines and procedures.
- Follow company safety policies, rules, and procedures, working within the WISE (Working in a Safe Environment) framework, ensuring safe behavior at all times.
- Identify and report health or safety hazards and dangerous situations; implement appropriate control measures and raise safety contacts when unsafe acts or practices are observed.
- Carry out risk assessments as appropriate.
- Coordinate audits for good housekeeping/5S and complete follow-up actions, maintaining a proactive \’Clean as you go\’ approach.
- Operate production equipment in adherence to GMP and HACCP guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with quality procedures such as Critical Control Points, processes, and standards in line with the Quality Management System (QMS) and Danone Quality Food Standards.
- Perform and record in-process checks to verify product standards, maintain a clean workstation, and uphold a high standard of right-first-time production.
- Maximize production quality and output in your area.
- Perform visual product quality checks.
- Complete documentation standards accurately, including inputs and scanning into the MES system.
- Manufacture products to specifications at the right time and cost, following the Right First-Time approach.
- Ensure maximized output in your area.
- Drive KPIs, both direct and indirect.
- Anticipate and resolve problems to avoid impacts on customer service.

We operate on a rotating 24/7 shift pattern. You’ll receive a structured onboarding and training program. Starting salary is £26,026 plus a 33% shift allowance. After demonstrating competence, you can expect a salary increase to £29,459 plus shift allowance and bonus, typically within 6 months. You’ll also have access to our flexible benefits, pension scheme, and career development support.
