We are offering a salary of £95-110,000 plus car allowance, bonus, double matched pension, and many other competitive benefits. The role will be based out of our Chiswick office with the expectation to also travel to customers when required.
Role Purpose
Leading the Convenience channel (including retail & wholesale) within Impulse & Discounter team, this role will be fully responsible for the strategy, management and growth of the Convenience channel across all Danone categories with some of our iconic brands such as Evian, Volvic, Activia and Actimel.
Role Focus
- Strategic Planning
- Defining the full Convenience channel strategy to drive long term growth ambition
- Galvanising the team and cross functional stakeholders behind the strategy and its enablers
- Setting clear targets to deliver the plan, working across functions to define and communicate these to the team
- Customer Engagement
- Develop strong customer relationships built on trust and hold team to account with their contacts
- Lead the contact matrix for our key customers & develop strategic partnerships with mutual benefit
- Ensure we are the ‘supplier of choice’ for our key customers
- Channel Growth & Profitability
- Owning and delivering the annual, quarterly and monthly channel targets across all categories
- Identifying the role of each customer and SKUs to drive the right mix and profitability
- Drive High Performing Team Culture & Development
- Setting out what success looks like for the team (o 13 direct reports) and coaching them with right level of stretch & support to ensure high performance & team wellbeing
- Leading the team to deliver the years objectives through clear, consistent and inspiring communication
- Ensure each team member has a clear development plan to build capability & support growth
About You

- Functional Capabilities
- Strong experience within the convenience, wholesale or impulse channel from FMCG
- Strong track record of supply and demand led JBP’s
- Excels in selling a vision & strategy to multi-level contacts
- Strong questioning and listening skills
- Demonstrates advanced negotiation techniques and ability to identify the negotiation styles of key contacts
- Strong commercial acumen
