The Danone UK & Ireland category business units have come together to form one UK&I Central Business Unit, comprised of all our key categories (Dairies, Plant Based, Early Life Nutrition, Medical Nutrition and Waters). With annual turnover totally €1.7bn, this new UK&I sales unit is a key strategic driver for the global Danone business.
The role will be part of the UK&I Finance team; a large, commercially focused finance team supporting the business with its growth ambitions, comprised of Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, and FP&A. The Operations Finance team is responsible for reporting, animation and forecasting the operational costs of the business, including cost of goods sold, warehousing, material write-offs and secondary transport.
Working as part of the Operations finance team of four people and closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner – Logistics, this role will be the key Finance business partner for the UK&I Logistics team and is responsible for reporting, animation and driving efficiencies in our logistics costs (€130m per year), whilst taking responsibility for month-end reporting of actual costs and the monthly rolling forecast for all logistics costs. The role will work closely with logistics budget holders across all categories and the wider UK&I commercial finance team.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of month-end reporting and monthly rolling forecast preparation for UK&I logistics costs, including:
- Accruals, journal posting
- Review and reconciliation of logistics costs including key insights and commentary
- Monthly reporting & insights, KPI animation and dashboards
- Monthly actuals, budget and forecast reviews to understand, challenge and build with logistics budget holders
- Logistics cost KPI tracking, reporting and animation
- Essbase management for logistics
- Supporting productivity agenda for UK&I logistics
About You
- A curious, self-starter looking to understand our business and processes with a continuous improvement mindset.
- A qualified (CIMA, ACCA) professional with 2+ years' experience who is looking to grow in the role.
- Ability to work as part of a close-knit finance team and build relationships cross-functionally.
Salary on offer: £50,000–£60,000 + bonus & benefits.
