At Danone, our commitment to manufacturing the highest quality products and meeting market demand is a fundamental driver for our plant teams. We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Nutricia Liverpool facility. In this role, you will be part of the plant engineering team and be responsible for supporting and delivering strategic, operational, and policy‑related aspects of the plant, with a focus on safety, quality, performance, management, and organizational objectives.

You will be responsible for multiple capital projects within the plant, overseeing the full project life cycle: need, preliminary definition, detailed definition, technical execution, timeline management, and financial oversight for each project.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Project execution of projects up to €5M or as part of complex scope projects (processing, packaging, building and utility).
  • Work with Engineering Manager to align on project priorities and budgets for each project.
  • Lead and develop a team including project engineer and packaging engineer.
  • Work with CAPEX controller to manage the capital forecast and execution.
  • Coordinate and lead cross‑functional teams as part of the project life cycle.
  • Create, design and evaluate initial call‑for‑tender documents with relevant key stakeholders and procurement.
  • Work with regional engineering teams during bidding processes and technical alignment.
  • Work with the CAPEX procurement team to align on priorities and contract negotiations.
  • Travel is required occasionally for training or plant projects.
Qualifications:
  • Integrated automation and controls technology.
  • High‑speed packaging systems design.
  • Plant‑based process engineering and PMO.
  • Manufacturing plant utility systems.
  • Civil works.

Must be organized and self‑disciplined to manage concurrent projects. Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend or late shifts during installation/start‑up periods.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Engineering degree and recognized project management training (e.g., Prince II).
  • 3 years of relevant engineering experience required, preferably in CPG beverage/food manufacturing.
