We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Line Lead to join our team in Kettering in the ongoing deployment of our factory operating system Dan-IWS! Dan-IWS is the factory operating system that is currently being deployed across Kettering site. The driving principles of Dan-IWS are ‘Power of 0’, and ‘Power of 100’ meaning zero defects & losses and 100% employee ownership.
As the role of the Line Lead, you will be working alongside a Process Lead & Maintenance Lead to make up a ‘Line Trio’. The role of the trio is to fully own all aspects of performance for one line/area of the site and to build, improve, and maintain the necessary standards to ensure this. You will report to the area production manager and be responsible within the ‘trio’ for the following:
- Lead Daily Direction Setting meetings
- Lead issue resolution to root cause on the floor for chronic stop
- Coach and build capabilities of Operators to become Equipment owners and embed AM system.
- Own Safety, Quality, Daily Direction Setting & CIL Daily Management Systems
About You: You must have the ability to work on your own initiative, have strong communication skills, ability to prioritise, think ahead and the ability to solve technical, complex problems. The following qualifications/skills are required:
- Coaching skills
- Good technical capability
- Strong logical and clear-thinking individual
- Strong self-discipline and a structured approach
- Be a good team member with strong communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
- The ability to prioritise and think ahead
Critical experience required:
- Be able to communicate in both written and verbal English
- Experience of working in a food manufacturing environment
- Awareness of food allergen & basic food hygiene
- Working knowledge of IT systems such as MS Office
