The Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Temporary Works Supervisor to join a leading Tier 1 construction company based in Devonport, Plymouth. The company is a major player in the construction industry, delivering large-scale projects across sectors including Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, and Transport. Responsibilities: • Oversee the safe and compliant execution of temporary works on site • Ensure all temporary works are in accordance with the design and relevant regulations • Liaise with the project team, including engineers and managers, to ensure timely delivery • Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and legal obligations • Monitor the temporary works register and ensure all approvals and certifications are in place • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure that temporary works are being installed and maintained correctly • Lead and supervise the temporary works team to ensure efficient operations • Advocate for and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring that all activities comply with site-specific RAMS and health & safety policies • Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments for temporary works • Ensure the temporary works are delivered without defects and meet the required specifications • Collaborate with the Site Manager and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and manage risks • Maintain accurate documentation including site diaries, work records, and health & safety logs • Attend site meetings and communicate progress and challenges to senior management • Monitor performance against project schedules and contribute to the development of short-term lookaheads Qualifications & Experience: • Proven experience in temporary works supervision on construction projects • Strong knowledge of temporary works design, construction methods, and legal regulations • Experience managing or supervising teams in a construction environment • Excellent communication and leadership skills • CSCS card holder (essential) • Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) qualification (essential) • Strong understanding of health & safety protocols and risk management • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software (desirable) • First Aid, NEBOSH, or IOSH certification (desirable) This role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead temporary works on high-profile projects, contributing to the smooth and safe execution of major construction works.
