We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major rail infrastructure project in Greater Manchester. The successful candidate will play a key role within the site engineering team, supporting the delivery of station and civil engineering works in a live rail environment.
The Role
- Provide engineering support to the project team and ensure works are set out and delivered accurately, safely and in accordance with the project specification.
- Setting out and surveying construction works.
- Providing engineering support to the Site Management team.
- Checking levels, dimensions and line/level.
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records.
- Carrying out quality inspections and completing relevant documentation.
- Reviewing drawings and specifications and identifying technical issues.
- Supporting subcontractors with engineering queries.
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with RAMS and project requirements.
- Liaising with the wider engineering and construction teams.
About You
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on rail or civil engineering projects.
- Strong setting-out experience.
- Good knowledge of construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience working within a live railway environment.
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
- PTS / Sentinel accreditation.
- CSCS and relevant site qualifications.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive approach and ability to work effectively within a site team.
