About the Role
Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer on behalf of one of our key clients delivering major infrastructure and civil engineering works within the water sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project with a well-established contractor working across complex civil engineering schemes.
Responsibilities
- Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote safe working practices across site operations
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal obligations
- Support environmental compliance and best practice
- Deliver works safely and efficiently
- Quality
- Ensure all works are completed to specification and defect free
- Maintain accurate site records and documentation
- Identify and highlight value engineering opportunities where possible
- Follow company quality procedures and standards
- Site Engineering Duties
- Establish level and survey control for projects
- Set out detailed works in accordance with contract drawings
- Carry out regular checks to ensure accuracy
- Resolve technical issues and site challenges as they arise
- Produce procurement schedules and liaise with procurement teams
- Prepare ITPs and Task Briefings
- Produce 2-week look-ahead programmes alongside site management
- Complete Site Diaries and Allocation Sheets
Essential Requirements
- Previous setting out experience on civil engineering projects
- Good understanding of construction methods, health & safety and industry regulations
- Experience using robotic total stations or EDM instruments
- Degree/HNC or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
Desirable
- Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator experience
- CSCS Card
- Cable avoidance training
- First Aid qualification
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification
Requirements
- CSCS Card
- Water industry experience preferred but not essential
- Minimum 3 years' setting out experience
