οΈ Site Engineer β Highways | Days & Nights | A14 (Junction 2) β Rugby Based We\βre currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major highways remediation project on the A14 (Junction 2). This role offers a great opportunity to work with a leading Tier 1 contractor on a technically interesting and fast-paced scheme, initially on day shifts before transitioning to night shifts. ποΈ Project Timeline: * Start: Early October 2025 (Rugby-based) * Project Setup: Around 20th October * Day Shifts: From start date through to 17th November 2025 * Night Shifts: Post 17th November until March 2026 π Location: Near A14 Junction 2, with Rugby as the base location. π οΈ Project Overview: This scheme involves the remediation of a failed cutting slope on the eastbound carriageway, between marker posts 20/2 and 20/4. Key responsibilities include: * Installation of counterfort drains * Vegetation clearance, verge repair, and drainage reinstatement * Delivering precise setting out, QA, and as-built records * Supporting senior site teams with progress reporting and subcontractor coordination β Requirements: * Previous experience working on major highway projects * Strong setting out and site engineering capability * Experience with Tier 1 contractors (highly desirable) * Comfortable with transitioning from day to night shifts * CSCS and relevant engineering qualifications π§° Desirable Skills: * Experience with drainage and slope remediation works * Understanding of health & safety in live highways environments * Excellent communication and organisational skills
