Job Description
The Danny Sullivan Group are currently looking for a Planner with a strong background in the water sector to support major infrastructure projects under the Southern Water framework.\\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Civil Engineering and Infrastructure contractor delivering critical water and wastewater schemes as part of a £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership. With the AMP8 investment cycle now in full swing, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the delivery of Southern Water’s long-term infrastructure improvements.\\nResponsibilities:\\n\\nLead planning activities across a range of water and wastewater projects, from early design through to construction and handover.\\nPrepare and manage detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 in accordance with NEC contract requirements.\\nWork closely with multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, and construction teams to maintain accurate and achievable schedules.\\nEnsure key milestones, critical paths, and resource requirements are clearly communicated and managed throughout the project lifecycle.\\nIdentify planning risks and opportunities, contributing to risk mitigation strategies and value engineering solutions.\\nProduce and maintain progress reports, lookaheads, and performance updates in collaboration with project and commercial teams.\\nAssist in the preparation of programme narratives for inclusion in monthly client reporting packs.\\nSupport the development and refinement of planning procedures and best practices across the Southern Water portfolio.Qualifications & Experience:\\n\\nProven experience working on complex infrastructure projects, ideally in the water or utilities sector.\\nStrong proficiency with Primavera P6 and a solid understanding of NEC contract planning principles.\\nExcellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present schedule data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\\nExperience working on multi-disciplinary projects and managing multiple workstreams concurrently.\\nAbility to collaborate effectively with client teams, consultants, and subcontractors.\\nHighly organised with a proactive mindset and attention to detail.This role offers a long-term opportunity with a tier-one company, contributing to essential infrastructure as part of the Southern Water Framework.
