An established M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects across multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use developments.

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, an opportunity has arisen for a driven Mechanical Project Engineer to join the project delivery team based in Leicester.

The Role

The Mechanical Project Engineer will play a key role in supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring mechanical packages are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of mechanical building services packages across multiple projects
  • Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Assist with procurement of materials and equipment
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Monitor project progress against programme requirements
  • Support commissioning activities and project handovers
  • Attend client meetings and site progress meetings
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with health & safety requirements
  • Manage technical queries and provide engineering support to delivery teams

Requirements

  • Previous experience within Mechanical M&E contracting
  • Experience working as a Mechanical Project Engineer
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installations
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work within fast-paced project environments
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
