An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Document Controller to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering a major build and civil engineering project in Leicester. This is a key role within the project team, responsible for ensuring all project documentation is accurately managed, controlled and distributed throughout the project life cycle.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working for a main contractor and be confident using Viewpoint and Dalux, as these systems are integral to the role.
The Role
- Managing all project documentation using Viewpoint and Dalux.
- Maintaining accurate document control processes in line with company and client procedures.
- Uploading, distributing and tracking drawings, technical documents and project correspondence.
- Managing document revisions and ensuring the latest information is issued to the project team.
- Coordinating information flow between site teams, design consultants, subcontractors and the client.
- Maintaining document registers and ensuring all records are up to date.
- Supporting project teams with document retrieval, reporting and audits.
- Ensuring all documentation complies with project quality standards and contractual requirements.
- Assisting with project handover documentation and close-out procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Document Controller working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor.
- Essential experience using Viewpoint and Dalux within a construction environment.
- Experience working on build, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of document control procedures and quality management systems.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with project stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
