Danny Sullivan is looking for a contractor that specializes in civil engineering to recruit an experienced General Foreman to join their expanding team to work on a project in Ipswich. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate as our client is offering an excellent salary and package as well as fantastic opportunities for progression.

Duties:

  • Ensuring works are carried out productively with the safety of others a high priority
  • Managing and leading Earthworks team on site
  • Ensuring works are carried out to the highest standard
  • Ensuring schemes are delivered on time and within budget
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
  • Ensuring safety is first and foremost
  • Plant and Labour reconciliations
  • Communication with managers to ensure all site staff including Sub Contractors work safely
  • Material reconciliations and produce regular reports
  • Management of staff
  • Review method statements/risk assessments
  • Liaise with all relevant sub-contractors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Foreman within the civil engineering industry, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Must have Earthworks Experience
  • Extensive and Wide Ranging Hands on Civil Engineering & Construction Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes, equipment and safety procedures
  • Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • CSCS Black Card, SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid
  • Full UK driving licence
