We are currently supporting a major infrastructure contractor on a long-term programme of works across the UK, with a focus on substation upgrades and overhead line replacement projects. We are looking to engage an experienced NGED-approved Wireman / HV Electrician who is confident working on substations and able to operate unsupervised.
The Role:
- Installation, wiring and commissioning within HV substation environments
- Working on infrastructure linked to overhead line replacement projects
- Carrying out works in line with National Grid / NGED standards
- Operating as a competent, authorised person on site
- Working across multiple UK locations (lodging/travel required)
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Wireman / HV Electrician on substations
- NGED or National Grid authorisation (or demonstrable equivalent)
- Experience working at HV levels (e.g. 132kV, 275kV, 400kV)
- Ability to work unsupervised as a competent person
- Relevant certifications such as TP137 (desirable)
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and electrical standards
