A leading MEP contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to join its High Wycombe team. This is an opportunity to become part of a business delivering high-value, technically complex building services projects across some of the UK's most demanding sectors.

Why this role?

You'll have genuine responsibility for the construction delivery of major MEP projects, working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Commercial teams, clients and specialist contractors. You'll be trusted to influence how projects are delivered, solve construction challenges and drive performance on site. The role offers the opportunity to build experience across:

  • Large-scale mechanical and electrical installations
  • Complex MEP coordination
  • Specialist engineering systems
  • Major construction programmes
  • Testing and commissioning
  • Tier 1 contractor environments

Your responsibilities

  • Coordinating MEP construction activities
  • Leading site teams, engineers and subcontractors
  • Managing construction sequencing and short-term programmes
  • Monitoring progress and productivity
  • Coordinating MEP works with the wider construction programme
  • Managing subcontractor performance
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information
  • Resolving construction and interface issues
  • Maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Supporting commissioning and project handover
  • Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team

The background we're looking for

We're interested in speaking with Construction Managers who have a strong MEP / building services / engineering background and a proven track record of delivering major projects. You'll ideally have:

  • Experience managing MEP construction activities
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical building services knowledge
  • Experience leading site teams and subcontractors
  • Good understanding of construction programmes
  • Strong technical and coordination skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership capability
