We're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to join a major civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure works at Gatwick Airport.
You'll be working on a live airside pr delivering civil engineering packages including drainage, utilities, reinforced concrete, pavements and associated infrojectastructure works.
The Role
As Project Engineer, you\'ll support the delivery team by coordinating engineering activities, managing technical issues and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering activities across site.
- Coordinate subcontractors and site teams.
- Review drawings and technical specifications.
- Raise and manage RFIs and technical queries.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained through inspections, ITPs and as-built records.
- Manage NCRs and support corrective actions.
- Assist with short-term planning and programme delivery.
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits and temporary works procedures.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Senior Engineer or Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working on highways, utilities, rail, aviation or heavy civils projects.
- Good understanding of quality processes including ITPs, RFIs, NCRs and inspections.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and resolve technical issues.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- CSCS Card.
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
