360 Excavator Operator - £27.00 per Hour (CIS) - Lower Thames Crossing Project, Grays, Essex
Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator to join a long-term infrastructure project in Grays, Essex, working on the prestigious Lower Thames Crossing project.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work on one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure schemes. We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious operator who takes pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
Your Role as a 360 Excavator Operator:
- Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently on the Lower Thames Crossing infrastructure project
- Must have proven earthworks experience operating a 360 excavator
- Carry out bulk earthworks, trenching, grading, excavation, drainage, and material handling duties
- Excavate accurately to engineering drawings and site specifications
- Work safely around live services, utilities, and other site personnel
- Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, banksmen, groundworkers, and plant operatives to deliver planned works efficiently
- Carry out daily plant inspections and report any defects immediately
- Ensure machinery is maintained and operated in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Follow all site traffic management, exclusion zones, lifting operations, and plant movement procedures
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across the work area
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and site procedures at all times
What We're Looking For as a 360 Excavator Operator:
- Valid CPCS Blue Card or NPORS (CSCS Logo) for 360 Excavator
- Must hold Saferty Critical Medical (or willingness to undertake one)
- Previous experience operating 360 excavators on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience working on earthworks, highways, drainage, or heavy construction projects
- Good understanding of excavation techniques and working around live services
- Strong awareness of health and safety when working alongside other plant and site personnel
- Ability to work effectively as part of a professional site team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high safety standards
