Excavator Operator - GPS / Bulk Earthworks - £27 PHR (CIS/UTR) | Long-Term HS2 Opportunity (Aylesbury Area) Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting experienced GPS Excavator Operators to support major bulk earthworks operations on the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Aylesbury area. This is a long-term opportunity for skilled operators with strong GPS excavator experience, working on large-scale excavation, bulk earthworks, drainage, material movements, ground preparation, and civils operations on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. Your Role as an Excavator Operator Operate excavators safely and efficiently across large-scale earthworks and civils operations Operate GPS machine-controlled excavators to achieve required levels, lines, and tolerances Carry out excavation, digging, loading, grading, and material movement activities Carry out bulk earthworks, drainage, ground preparation, and excavation works Use GPS systems to accurately excavate and trim to design Work with Leica, Trimble, Topcon or similar GPS machine-control systems Carry out trimming, profiling, grading, and ground preparation activities to specification Work alongside earthworks supervisors, engineers, surveyors, and other plant operators Follow site drawings, specifications, RAMS, and daily work instructions Carry out pre-start checks and report any defects or issues with the machine Maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times Work as part of a wider earthworks and civils team to maintain productivity and programme Follow all HS2 and site-specific safety procedures and requirements What We're Looking For as an Excavator Operator Valid CPCS or NPORS Excavator ticket Proven GPS machine-control experience is essential Strong experience using Leica, Trimble, Topcon or similar GPS systems Proven experience operating excavators on major earthworks or civil engineering projects Strong experience in excavation, bulk earthworks, drainage, grading, and material placement Ability to work accurately to GPS models, levels, lines, and tolerances Experience working on major infrastructure projects preferred Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements Able to work effectively as part of a large site team Reliable, punctual, and available for long-term work Safety Critical Medical (or willingness to undertake) Right to work in the UK What You'll Get as an Excavator Operator £27 per hour (CIS/UTR) Weekly pay Long-term ongoing work Opportunity to work on the HS2 project Career-enhancing experience on one of Europe's largest infrastructure schemes Why Apply?
