Senior Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Major Defence project in Scotland! I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 Main Contractor delivering a major long-term infrastructure programme near Helensburgh, Scotland. 📍 Location: Helensburgh / Scotland 💼 Permanent or Freelance 💰 Freelance: Inside IR35 - Umbrella PAYE The successful SQS will be responsible for the commercial management of major civil engineering and infrastructure packages within a highly regulated project environment. Key duties will include: * Managing commercial performance of civils/infrastructure packages * NEC contract administration * Preparing and managing CVRs, forecasts and cost reports * Managing subcontractor procurement and accounts * Applications for payment and valuations * Managing variations and Compensation Events * Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities * Negotiating and agreeing subcontractor final accounts * Working closely with project, engineering and operational teams * Client liaison and commercial reporting * Supporting the wider commercial team throughout project delivery We're particularly interested in Senior Quantity Surveyors from Tier 1 / major civil engineering contractor backgrounds, with experience across heavy civils, infrastructure, nuclear, defence, utilities, energy, rail or major infrastructure projects. Strong NEC3/NEC4 experience would be highly advantageous. Both permanent and freelance candidates will be considered. Interested or know somebody suitable?
