Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the design process from early concept through to construction and project completion.
- Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure all design deliverables are completed in line with programme requirements, industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.
- Oversee multidisciplinary design coordination, ensuring designs are practical, compliant, buildable, and aligned with operational and construction requirements.
- Manage technical reviews, design assurance activities, programme coordination, and stakeholder engagement across multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications
- Strong experience operating as a Design Manager within rail infrastructure, civil engineering, or major construction environments.
- A solid understanding of design management processes, construction methodologies, stakeholder coordination, and infrastructure project delivery.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage technical teams and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of project delivery.
- Experience within live rail environments and knowledge of rail standards and assurance processes is highly advantageous.
