CPCS Slinger Banksman - £18.00 per hour PAYE Long-Term Work | M5 Junction 10 Improvements Danny Sullivan Group is looking for an experienced CPCS Slinger Banksman to join the M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme, a major highway infrastructure project being delivered in partnership with Gloucestershire County Council and National Highways. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work on a major UK infrastructure project, offering competitive hourly pay and weekly pay. The Details Role: CPCS Slinger Banksman Location: M5 Junction 10 Improvements Scheme, Gloucestershire Rate: £18.00 per hour PAYE Working Pattern: 10 hours per shift Pay: Weekly Duration: Long-term / ongoing About the Role as a CPCS Slinger Banksman As a CPCS Slinger Banksman, you will play a key role in supporting lifting operations across the construction site, ensuring materials and equipment are safely lifted, moved and positioned. Your duties will include: Safely slinging and signalling loads during lifting operations Directing crane and plant operators during lifting activities Attaching and detaching lifting accessories and equipment Ensuring loads are correctly secured before lifting Assessing loads and selecting appropriate lifting accessories Communicating clearly with crane operators using recognised signals and communication methods Establishing and maintaining safe working zones around lifting operations Ensuring lifting operations are carried out in accordance with site procedures and risk assessments Inspecting lifting accessories and reporting any defects Working closely with site management, lifting teams and other operatives Supporting the safe movement and positioning of materials around site Identifying and reporting hazards, unsafe conditions and near misses Following all site health & safety procedures Requirements To be considered for this role, you will need: Valid CPCS Slinger Signaller Card Previous experience working as a Slinger Banksman on a construction, civil engineering or infrastructure site Good understanding of lifting operations and safe slinging practices Knowledge of lifting accessories, load security and safe working procedures Ability to communicate effectively with crane and plant operators Good understanding of construction site health & safety Reliable and punctual approach to work Ability to work effectively as part of a busy site teamExperience working on major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
