A Tier 1, award-winning M&E contractor is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join its established pre-construction team in Romford. This is an opportunity to join a well-respected business with a strong pipeline of secured work, delivering projects across commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors.
Role Overview
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical building services packages, from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Duties will include reviewing drawings and specifications, carrying out material take-offs, obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations, and ensuring all submissions are commercially viable and aligned with project requirements.
Requirements
Candidates should have previous experience in mechanical estimating within the M&E / building services sector, with a strong understanding of HVAC systems, pipework and associated plant. You will be able to manage multiple tenders, work to deadlines, and demonstrate strong commercial awareness alongside clear communication skills.
