A leading Tier 1 Building Services Contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior M and E Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of major London-based projects across shell & core, fit out and technically complex MEP developments.
Working as part of an established commercial team, you will play a key role in the financial management and commercial success of high-value mechanical and electrical packages from procurement through to final account. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work and exposure to some of London's most high-profile developments.
The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day commercial management of major MEP packages while working closely with operational, procurement and project delivery teams. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, ensuring strong commercial control, accurate reporting and effective subcontract management throughout delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of subcontractor procurement and package administration
- Preparation and management of valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting, forecasting and commercial analysis
- Managing subcontractor payments and commercial performance
- Supporting change management and contractual negotiations
- Assisting with risk management and commercial strategy
- Liaising closely with project and operational teams
- Maintaining accurate commercial documentation and reporting
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the Building Services / M&E sector
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical packages
- Experience working on large-scale commercial or residential developments
- Previous experience with Tier 1 contractors or leading M&E contractors preferred
- Strong contractual and commercial understanding
- Degree qualified or equivalent preferred
