Long-Term Opportunity on the Ashton Gate Sporting Quarter Project (Bristol). Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced CPCS Slinger Signaller / Banksman to join the Ashton Gate Sporting Quarter Project, a major £100 million development centred around Ashton Gate Stadium in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on a high-profile construction project, supporting major construction activities on a busy and well-established site.

Your Role as a CPCS Slinger Signaller / Banksman:

  • Carry out slinging and signalling duties for cranes and lifting operations.
  • Safely guide plant and vehicle movements across site as a Banksman.
  • Ensure all lifting operations are conducted in line with lift plans and safe systems of work.
  • Communicate clearly with crane operators and plant drivers using recognised hand signals and radio communication.
  • Assist with the safe movement and positioning of materials, equipment, and construction components.
  • Maintain exclusion zones and ensure personnel remain safe during lifting activities.
  • Support site logistics and general construction operations as required.
  • Monitor and report hazards, unsafe conditions, and near misses immediately.
  • Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

What We're Looking For as a CPCS Slinger Signaller / Banksman:

  • Valid CPCS Slinger Signaller card (essential).
  • Previous experience in lifting operations and banking plant on construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of lifting plans, signalling procedures, and site safety requirements.
  • Experience working around cranes, heavy plant, and busy construction environments.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and proactive attitude.
