Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced 360 Excavator Operator with GPS machine control experience to join the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Aylesbury area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, supporting major earthworks and ground engineering operations.

Your Role as a 360 Excavator Operator:

  • Operate 360 excavators safely and efficiently on a major civil engineering project
  • Carry out bulk excavation, drainage, trenching, grading, and earthmoving works
  • Use GPS machine control systems (Trimble/Leica preferred) to excavate accurately to design levels
  • Work from engineering drawings and site specifications
  • Support earthworks, cut and fill operations, and material handling across site
  • Work closely with site engineers and supervisors to meet programme requirements
  • Conduct daily plant checks and basic maintenance, reporting defects promptly
  • Follow all plant movement, lifting, and exclusion zone procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
  • Adhere to all HS2 health, safety, and environmental standards

What We're Looking For as a 360 Excavator Operator:

  • Valid CPCS Blue Card for 360 Excavator (essential)
  • GPS machine control experience (essential)
  • Safety Critical Medical (required or willingness to complete)
  • Proven experience operating 360 excavators on large-scale civil engineering or earthworks projects
  • Experience with Trimble or Leica GPS systems preferred
  • Experience working on major infrastructure or Tier 1 contractor sites (HS2 experience advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of excavation, grading, and earthworks
  • Good awareness of site safety and working around other plant
  • Reliable, skilled, and safety-conscious attitude
