We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Foreman to lead daily site operations on a high-profile wastewater infrastructure project in Pangbourne, part of the Thames Water North Framework. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled civil construction foreman to take ownership of a technically demanding site, overseeing a range of key works with safety, quality, and productivity at the core.

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising on-site activities, coordinating labour and subcontractors, and ensuring work is delivered in line with health and safety standards, project timelines, and client specifications. Strong communication and digital reporting skills are essential, as this is a tech-enabled site environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily site operations and workforce activities.
  • Ensure full compliance with HSEQ standards and Thames Water site protocols.
  • Utilise digital tools for reporting, progress tracking, and site communication.
  • Lead by example in driving safe working practices and quality workmanship.
  • Liaise with engineers, management, and subcontractors to maintain site progress.

Minimum Requirements

  • CPCS Gold Card – Supervisor
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Thames Water Passport (can be arranged if not currently held)
  • Proficient with digital site platforms and reporting systems
  • Proven experience in civils, water, or utilities-based projects

Project Scope Includes:

  • Modifying existing inlet works to manage peak flows of 500 l/s, including storm separation and screening systems.
  • Ensuring adequate wash water supply for screening and handling systems.
  • Modifying treatment works to achieve a new FtFT of 73 l/s via active flow control.
  • Ensuring all site liquors are routed downstream of storm separation and measurement.
  • Constructing a new Final Settlement Tank (FST) and associated flow split chamber.
  • Installing new pipework and upgrading the ICA telemetry outstation.
  • Removal of Copasac frame from the Final Effluent sampling chamber.
