Site Agent Needed – National Grid Project (Necton / Norfolk)
Start: Monday / Tuesday
Hours: 07:00–17:00
Location: National Grid sites within 1 hour of Norwich
Contractor: Working on behalf of a major civils subcontractor
We’re looking for an experienced Site Agent to oversee earthworks packages on National Grid sites. You’ll be managing subcontractors, coordinating with visiting engineers, keeping the programme moving, and making sure safety and quality stay tight.
What you’ll be doing:
- Running day-to-day site operations on NG compounds
- Managing subcontract teams (earthworks, civils, enabling works)
- Liaising with engineers and ensuring setting-out info is followed
- Keeping H&S, quality and paperwork under control
- Reporting progress and highlighting risks or delays early
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to spec
What you’ll need:
- Black CSCS (Manager) card
- SMSTS
- National Grid or power/utility experience ideal
- Strong background in civils/earthworks
- Confident managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding
