Junior SHEQ Advisor – Telecoms Location: Kent & East Sussex (site-based across regional telecoms projects) Reports to: SHEQ Manager About the Role We are looking for a Junior SHEQ Advisor to join our team working on telecoms infrastructure projects across Kent and East Sussex. The role is hands-on, supporting the safe installation of ductworks, trenching, and associated civil works. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to gain practical experience in Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) within a fast-paced civils and utilities environment. Key Responsibilities Support site teams in promoting and maintaining the highest SHEQ standards. Carry out regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and client policies. Assist in investigating incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and help implement corrective actions. Monitor and encourage safe working practices during excavation, trenching, and duct installation activities. Support the preparation and delivery of toolbox talks and SHEQ briefings. Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation, reports, and records. Engage with operatives and supervisors to build a positive safety culture on site.What We’re Looking For Someone ambitious and keen to grow a career in SHEQ, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach. Ideally some previous experience in civils, utilities, or construction environments. Awareness of CDM Regulations and working around utilities is an advantage. Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with site teams. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot issues and suggest improvements.Requirements NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or working towards it). Full UK driving licence. CSCS card desirable.
