Design Manager – Structural Steel | Major Airport Project | Tier 2 Experience Required 🚨 Location: Heathrow Airport Rate/Salary: Competitive (Contract or Permanent) Start Date: ASAP We are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager – Structural Steel for a major package on a high-security, logistically complex infrastructure project at Heathrow Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most prominent live airport environments, coordinating structural steel design from pre-construction through delivery. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the structural steel design process * Liaise with architects, consultants, and Tier 1 contractors * Conduct reviews, manage clash detection, and lead coordination meetings * Ensure compliance with all safety and technical standards in a secure, regulated environment * Drive buildability and innovation in design solutions Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Proven experience with Tier 2 structural steel contractor expereince * Strong technical understanding of steel structures and fabrication * Experience delivering in complex infrastructure environments – airports preferred * Ability to manage stakeholder communication and drive progress through the design lifecycle If you’re a Design Manager with the right background and you’re available for your next challenge, get in touch today
