Danny Sullivan Group are recruiting for an Ecologist to join a major civil engineering contractor delivering large-scale infrastructure works across the UK. Projects include water, pipeline and tunnelling schemes within complex, regulated environments.
This is a permanent role offering long-term security, with flexibility around location. The business operates regional offices nationwide and is open to remote or hybrid working, depending on project needs.
Role Overview- Provide ecological support across multiple infrastructure projects
- Advise project teams on ecological constraints, mitigation and compliance
- Support planning, construction and delivery teams to ensure works are carried out in line with environmental legislation and best practice
- Liaise with regulators, consultants and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to surveys, reporting, method statements and ecological management plans
- Support project delivery in live construction environments
- Proven experience working as an Ecologist on infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Strong understanding of UK environmental and ecological legislation
- Comfortable supporting complex construction works such as water, pipeline or tunnelling projects
- Able to work autonomously and engage confidently with site and project teams
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Salary up to £70,000 (depending on experience)
