We’re working with a specialist contractor on a live infrastructure scheme in Port Talbot and are looking to appoint a P6 Planner / Document Controller to support site delivery and programme management. This is a site-based role, working full-time from the project offices alongside the Project Manager and wider delivery team. The initial contract is circa 15 weeks, with clear scope to extend to 30+ weeks depending on project requirements.

Start: w/c 09.03.26
Duration: 15 weeks initially (extension likely)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
The Role
You’ll play a key support role on a piling works programme, combining hands-on Primavera P6 planning with project document control responsibilities. Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll help manage and maintain the construction programme, ensure document compliance, and support day-to-day project administration in a fast-paced site environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with programme management using Primavera P6, supporting the piling works schedule
- Maintain and update the programme (circa 2–3 hours per day of P6 use)
- Support document control processes, including uploading, downloading and maintaining project documentation
- Ensure document compliance, version control and correct superseding of records
- Attend daily programme and coordination meetings with the Project Manager and client
- Liaise with internal project teams to manage document flows and filing systems
- Compile and maintain the O&M manual during the works, including:
- Piling logs
- Delivery tickets
- Quality and inspection records
What We’re Looking For
- Strong, practical experience using Primavera P6
- Previous experience in a document control or combined planning / project support role
- Comfortable working full-time on site within a delivery team
- Organised, methodical and confident managing controlled documents
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with site management
- Experience on piling, civils or ground engineering projects preferred
