Concrete Finisher / Groundworker – Improvement Project at QEQM Hospital, Margate
Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for experienced Concrete Finishers / Groundworkers to join a major improvement project at Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother (QEQM) Hospital in Margate, Kent. This exciting project focuses on upgrading the hospital's emergency and maternity care facilities, helping to improve patient care and modernise essential healthcare infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile public sector project with long-term work available.
Your Role as a Concrete Finisher / Groundworker:
- Carry out high-quality concrete finishing works, including levelling, smoothing, edging, and finishing concrete surfaces
- Prepare, place, and finish concrete in accordance with project specifications
- Assist with general groundworks as required
- Support excavation, drainage, kerbing, and foundation works
- Assist with the installation of underground services and associated infrastructure
- Work safely alongside plant, machinery, and other site operatives
- Ensure finished concrete meets quality and tolerance requirements
- Maintain clean, safe, and organised working areas
- Report hazards, defects, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Follow all site health, safety, and environmental procedures
- Work effectively as part of a busy civil engineering team to keep the project on programme
What We're Looking For as a Concrete Finisher / Groundworker:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Previous experience in concrete finishing and groundworks on construction or civil engineering projects
- Ability to accurately finish concrete to a high standard
- Good understanding of site health and safety
- Ability to work safely around plant and machinery
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-focused attitude
- Full UK driving licence beneficial
