We're working with a well-established Building Services Contractor that continues to secure some of London's most prestigious construction projects across the commercial, healthcare, life sciences, data centre, residential and mixed-use sectors.

As their portfolio continues to expand, they're looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Director who can provide strategic leadership across major M&E developments, ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest technical standards.

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of major mechanical projects valued from £30m+

, leading Project Managers, Engineers and Site Teams to ensure successful delivery across every stage of the project lifecycle.

Working closely with senior management, commercial teams and clients, you'll play a key role in maintaining programme, quality and profitability while developing long-term client relationships that support future business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of large-scale mechanical building services projects across London.
  • Provide direction and support to Project Managers and wider delivery teams.
  • Develop project strategies, programmes and delivery plans.
  • Oversee procurement, resource planning and project performance.
  • Ensure projects achieve programme milestones, budget targets and quality expectations.
  • Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support bid and pre-construction teams during tender stages where required.
  • Drive health, safety and compliance across all live projects.

You'll ideally have

  • Significant experience managing large mechanical building services projects.
  • Previous experience as a Project Director, Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager.
  • Strong commercial understanding with the ability to influence project performance.
  • Excellent client-facing and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing multiple project teams simultaneously.
  • A collaborative management style with a passion for developing people.
  • SMSTS and CSCS accreditation.
