We’re looking for a Junior SHEQ Advisor with 1–2 years’ experience to support live civil engineering and construction projects across Essex, London and Kent. This is a site-based role suited to someone early in their SHEQ career who is confident being on site, engaging with operatives and supervisors, and keen to build solid experience across multiple projects. You’ll be part of an established SHEQ team and supported as you develop your technical and practical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine site inspections and safety walks
- Support senior SHEQ staff with audits and compliance checks
- Assist with RAMS reviews and method statement compliance
- Engage with site teams to promote safe working practices
- Support incident, near-miss and close-call investigations
- Help monitor environmental controls and quality standards
- Ensure site documentation is kept up to date
- Report issues and support corrective actions
About You
- 1–2 years’ experience in a SHEQ / H&S role within construction or civil engineering
- Comfortable working on live sites and speaking with operatives
- Basic understanding of UK H&S legislation
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Organised and able to manage site-based tasks
- NEBOSH Certificate (or working towards) preferred
- CSCS card required
- Full UK driving licence
