An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced MEP Technical Director to join one of the UK's leading specialist Building Services contractors. The business has established an outstanding reputation for delivering technically complex Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) solutions across some of the country's most prestigious data centre, life sciences and mission-critical developments. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking a strategic technical leader to drive engineering excellence across major projects.

Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will:

  • Provide technical direction across multiple large-scale data centre projects.
  • Provide technical leadership across Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health disciplines.
  • Lead engineering strategy during tender, design development and project delivery.
  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams and support Technical Managers and Design Managers.
  • Work closely with clients, consultants and project delivery teams to ensure engineering solutions are practical, compliant and commercially effective.
  • Drive innovation, digital engineering and BIM best practice throughout the business.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout commissioning, testing and project handover.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience delivering major MEP projects within the construction sector.
  • Previous experience within data centres, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or hyperscale environments.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and relevant industry guidance.
  • Excellent knowledge of commissioning, design management and technical governance.
  • Outstanding leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercial awareness combined with exceptional technical expertise.
