Earthwork Supervisor – Long-Term Opportunity on HS2 (Aylesbury Area)
Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join the HS2 high-speed rail project in the Aylesbury area. This is a key supervisory role supporting large-scale earthmoving operations on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects, helping deliver critical rail links that will transform national connectivity.
Your Role as an Earthworks Supervisor:
- Supervise and coordinate daily earthworks operation
- Oversee plant, groundworkers and labour on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme
- Ensure compliance with method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and ITPs
- Monitor levels, tolerances, and material placement in line with engineering specifications
- Liaise with engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and productivity
- Manage and brief teams through daily site inductions and toolbox talks
- Ensure all works meet HS2 quality, environmental, and safety standards
- Supervise GPS-controlled plant operations and coordinate with machine operators
- Maintain accurate site records including progress reports, permits, and inspections
- Identify and report any hazards, delays, or non-conformances promptly
- Promote a strong health and safety culture on site
