CSCS Concrete Finisher – A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet Improvement Scheme

Danny Sullivan Group is currently recruiting for experienced CSCS Concrete Finishers / Groundworkers to join the major A428 Black Cat to Caxton Gibbet improvement scheme. This major infrastructure project is improving the A428 between the Black Cat roundabout and Caxton Gibbet, including the construction of a new dual carriageway, junction improvements, structures, drainage and associated infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced construction and civil engineering operatives to secure long-term work on a major National Highways infrastructure project.

Your Role as a CSCS Concrete Finisher:

  • Carry out high-quality concrete finishing works, including levelling, smoothing, edging and finishing concrete surfaces
  • Prepare, place and finish concrete in accordance with project specifications
  • Carry out concrete works associated with highway, structures and infrastructure construction
  • Assist with general groundworks and civil engineering activities as required
  • Support excavation, drainage, kerbing, foundations and associated infrastructure works
  • Assist with the construction and finishing of concrete structures and highway elements
  • Work safely alongside plant, machinery and other site operatives
  • Ensure finished concrete meets required quality, tolerance and specification standards
  • Maintain clean, safe and organised working areas
  • Report hazards, defects and unsafe conditions immediately
  • Follow all site health, safety and environmental procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a busy civil engineering team to keep the project on programme

What We're Looking For as a CSCS Concrete Finisher:

  • Valid SEQOSH medical required
  • Previous experience working as a Concrete Finisher on major construction or civil engineering projects
  • Experience of concrete finishing, levelling, smoothing, edging and associated works
  • Groundworks experience is advantageous
  • Experience working on highways, infrastructure or major civil engineering projects is beneficial
  • Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work safely around plant and machinery
  • Reliable, hardworking and team-focused attitude
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a large site team
  • Full UK driving licence beneficial
