We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major infrastructure project on HS2. This role offers the opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most significant rail developments, alongside a highly respected senior leadership team.
Important: To be considered, candidates must have prior experience working on HS2 projects, specifically with BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI joint venture). Applications without this experience will not be considered.
The Role
You will play a key role in delivering works on site, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance across all engineering activities. This position suits a proactive engineer who is confident operating in a fast-paced, large-scale infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for drainage and associated civil engineering works
- Carrying out QA checks and maintaining accurate site records
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications and tolerances
- Providing technical support and problem-solving to site management
- Coordinating with subcontractors and site teams to maintain progress
Requirements (Essential)
- Proven experience on HS2 projects (non-negotiable)
- Previous experience working with BBV (Balfour Beatty VINCI)
- Strong background in drainage and associated civils
- Competent in setting out and QA processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Valid CSCS card (relevant level)
