This is a proper lead role on a sizeable London scheme — not a “manager in title only” situation. You’ll take full commercial ownership of a £45M shell and core M&E package, covering mechanical, public health, and ventilation systems. You’ll lead the commercial function on the project and manage the team delivering it.

You’re responsible for the numbers, the contracts, and the commercial direction of the project. If it impacts margin, risk, or client position — it sits with you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the commercial team on a live project
  • Managing cost control, reporting, and forecasting
  • Overseeing valuations, variations, and final accounts
  • Taking ownership of contract administration and risk
  • Working closely with the project lead to drive performance
  • Acting as the key commercial point of contact

What you’ll need:

  • Strong experience in a Commercial Manager / Senior QS role
  • Background in M&E or building services (essential for this one)
  • Proven track record leading commercial delivery on large projects
  • Ability to manage both the detail and the bigger commercial picture
