Prism-7 Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced maintenance engineers on behalf of our client based in Hoddesdon for a permanent position. Working as part of a team to provide a comprehensive electrical and mechanical maintenance service to the day-to-day plant operations. Ensuring that the pre-planned maintenance of equipment and machinery is carried out so that the production process can proceed smoothly. Ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum so that the production operation is maintained efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Continuous monitoring of plant systems including e-stop and fire systems and check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
- Identifying faults or hazards and troubleshooting system failures.
- Undertake planned and scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment and machinery in operations.
- Respond to faults and breakdowns in a timely manner ensuring minimum disruption to operations.
- To participate in the installation of new machinery/equipment and removal of old machinery, as and when necessary.
- Ensure all maintenance activity is recorded and logged in the Maintenance System and any documentation is completed and filed correctly.
- To ensure tools, workstations and tool rooms/workshops are maintained and cleaned regularly.
