Area of responsibility
We are recruiting for a graduate Marketing Assistant position within the branded team based in the Warwick office. We seek a dynamic and driven individual with strong commercial acumen to support the growth of the Hormel Branded portfolio within the UK and EMEA region.
This is an ideal opportunity to provide you with a solid foundation with an FMCG business to build upon as you progress your career into marketing, category or sales management.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in all aspects of the brand marketing, including brand planning, social media, creative advertising, media, packaging design, PR, product innovation.
- Briefing and working with agencies to deliver the brand plan.
- Support marketing team and the sales team to deliver projects.
- Implement marketing initiatives with retail customers in store and on-line, working with the sales teams.
- Prepare marketing presentations for the sales teams.
- Log and manage marketing and trade investments and run promotional post-evaluation and optimisation to drive ROI.
- Run sales reports and provide the required inputs for monthly business planning.
- Analyse data using internal sales reports and external data for management decisions.
- Ensure day-to-day issues are dealt with effectively and efficiently with a customer centric approach.
- Involvement in forecasting and supply chain to support the Sales and Business Development functions
- Attend team meetings with the US office, provide updates/input to other stakeholders, such as the US global brand teams.
Job Requirements
Skills/ experience required:
- Recent graduate with a Business, Marketing or equivalent degree.
- Some relevant work experience, possibly while completing study
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical capability and numerate who can analyse the data, pull out the insights and translate them into action.
- Solid multi-tasking, project management, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrate positive energy to effectively represent brand internally/externally.
- Ambitious team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent Microsoft skills-Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Passion for food.
We require an individual with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed within an energetic and exciting environment.
The successful candidate must, by the start of their employment, have permission to work in the UK.
