This is a Supervisor position for the Night Hygiene Shift, working 37.5 hours per week from 22:00 to 06:00.
Location and schedule: GBR-Rochdale, night shift hours 22:00–06:00, 37.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities And Duties:
- Meet all Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the H&S Policy
- Promote safe working practices and monitor/record accidents and near-miss incidents
- Lead the team to ensure an effective operational service to the business
- Lead from the front and by example, displaying behaviour consistent with organisational culture
- Demonstrate motivational leadership in the workplace
- Model behaviour expected by the Company and exercise fairness and equity in addressing personal issues of conflict or sensitivity
- Ensure resources are available to facilitate continuity of hygiene operation (plant, equipment, cleaning materials, labour, skills, etc.)
- Minimise production downtime associated with hygiene
- Promote quality as a key performance measure and maintain/improve quality standards where possible
- Coordinate with the production planner to plan cleaning windows in line with operations delivery targets
- Identify opportunities for improvement/innovation and implement action plans with the Hygiene Manager/Engineering Manager
- Ensure best practice is adopted to achieve delivery of food safety, including equipment dismantling/method/frequency/staffing, chemical specifications, and equipment requirements
- Manage the team in accordance with terms and conditions and company procedures
- Manage HR aspects (development, absence, motivation, attendance, punctuality, discipline, grievances) fairly and per procedures
- Ensure adherence to Company policies, procedures, and systems
- Continually manage process changes and identify skills gaps; arrange appropriate training and development
- Raise cleanliness standards in assigned areas through GMPs
- Maintain the company skills matrix and use it for development and succession planning
- Ensure staff are fully trained in core skills (induction, CICs, COSHH, CCPs, H&S, KPIs, etc.) and maintain records
- Maintain continuity of skills through structured succession planning
- Monitor and control overtime to ensure productivity and safety
- Communicate with your team to keep them briefed and well-informed
- Maintain visual management systems (e.g., performance tracking) to boost communication
- Conduct frequent reviews and audits on post-hygiene, during hygiene, and sanitisation standards; take timely corrective action and document long-term solutions
- Utilise ATP swabbing and address issues with the site’s hygiene manager
- Challenge existing practices and suggest improvements; introduce better practices within your areas of responsibility
- Champion and manage effective change in the workplace
- Update the site Hygiene Manager on performance, issues, next steps, and cost-related expectations
- Collaborate with other functions to resolve issues and find better ways of working
