- What you will be doing
- Engineering & Maintenance: Provide hands‑on mechanical and electrical support across our butchery, curing and sealing machinery, including de‑rinders, injectors and vacuum sealers.
- Preventative Maintenance: Carry out planned PPM schedules and use root cause analysis to help reduce unplanned downtime.
- Working with Production: Support daily production targets by working closely with the Production, Hygiene and Quality teams during line changeovers and equipment set ups.
- Compliance & Safety: Follow site Health & Safety policies, GMP and HACCP standards at all times, ensuring all work meets hygiene and food safety requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep accurate records within the CMMS and help identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and overall performance.
- What you’ll bring
- Experience: You’ll have previous experience working as a shift or maintenance engineer within food manufacturing or processing, ideally with exposure to meat or protein production.
- Technical skills: You’ll hold a recognised engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi‑skilled) and have strong fault‑finding skills across both processing and packaging equipment.
- Personal qualities: You’ll be a proactive team player with good communication skills, able to stay calm under pressure while maintaining a strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
