Are you a creative and commercially minded Menswear Designer looking for your next challenge?

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly successful fashion supplier who design and manufacture multi-product collections.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced

Senior Menswear Designer to join their established design team.

The Role

As Senior Menswear Designer, you will be responsible for developing commercially successful collections from initial concept through to final production.

Working closely with customers, buyers, sales teams and factories, you will identify emerging trends and translate them into commercially viable products that meet customer requirements and exceed expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop multi-product menswear ranges across categories including jersey, woven, outerwear, knitwear and casualwear.
  • Research and interpret seasonal fashion trends, competitor activity and consumer insights.
  • Produce detailed CADs, technical packs and artwork.
  • Present innovative concepts and range ideas directly to customers.
  • Attend customer meetings and build strong working relationships with key accounts.
  • Work closely with overseas factories to ensure designs are developed to the highest standards.
  • Manage the design process from concept through to sampling and production.
  • Mentor and support junior team members where required.
  • Identify new fabric, trim and product opportunities to maintain a competitive edge.

About You

  • Proven experience working as a Menswear Designer or Senior Menswear Designer.
  • Strong background designing multi-product apparel collections.
  • Experience working within a fashion supplier or high-volume retail environment.
  • Commercially focused with an excellent understanding of the UK high street.
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Strong trend forecasting and range-building skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience attending customer meetings and presenting ranges confidently.
