A highly successful retailer are keen to recruit a strategic and commercially minded Merchandising Manager to join their team. The Merchandising Manager will report into the Merchandising Director and will be key in leading the merchandising function to drive sales, maximise profitability, and optimise stock management across all channels. The Merchandising Manager will play a key role in planning, forecasting, and trading performance while collaborating closely with Buying, Design, Retail, and E-commerce teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver seasonal merchandise strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Lead sales, stock, intake, and margin planning across categories
  • Analyse performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and implement corrective actions
  • Manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) budgets and forecasting processes
  • Optimise stock levels to ensure availability while minimising markdown and excess inventory
  • Collaborate with Buying to build balanced, commercially viable ranges
  • Lead and develop a team of merchandisers and assistant merchandisers
  • Present trading updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement in merchandising systems and processes

Additional Information: The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a Merchandising Manager or Senior Merchandiser role within retail and have a strong commercial acumen and analytical skill and be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
