We are working in collaboration with a market leading company to recruit a Product Manager to lead their procurement team. The Product Manager will be a key member of the team who will ensure a cost-effective and resilient supply chain and manage supplier relationships, contract negotiation, demand forecasting and stock optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute procurement strategies that align with overall business goals
  • Oversee relationships with global suppliers to ensure consistent delivery, quality and cost efficiency
  • Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing structures to maximise value and secure long-term supply stability
  • Manage inventory levels and plan replenishment
  • Handle selected product categories, including sample development and supplier coordination
  • Work closely with sales, product development and operations to ensure purchasing supports the product timelines and market demand
  • Monitor market dynamics and supplier performance to identify potential risks and areas for improvement
  • Ensure all sourcing complies with ethical, environment and certification standards (e.g., BSCI, WRPA, SEDEC, OEKO-TEX)
  • Utilise ERP platforms for order processing, inventory control and procurement reporting
  • Project future material and stock requirements by analysing sales data and seasonal patterns
  • Lead, coach and develop the procurement team to promote a results-driven and improvement-focused environment

Product Manager Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in a purchasing, procurement or supply chain management role
  • Ideally worked in the apparel industry
  • Proven experience managing offshore suppliers
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost control acumen
