We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to join one of our lovely, long-standing clients on a 12-month FTC. This role will focus on childrenswear across higher-end high street accounts and will involve managing the product lifecycle from development through to delivery. This position is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in import merchandising who enjoys a client-facing role, combining product coordination with account management responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, ensuring clear, timely, and professional communication.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, delivering a high level of service and attention to detail.
  • Prepare, update, and manage costing sheets to ensure accurate pricing and margin control.
  • Take ownership of the critical path, ensuring all stages from development through to delivery are met on time.
  • Liaise closely with internal teams including design, merchandising, and production to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Manage communication with Far East suppliers, including sending comments, chasing samples, and monitoring deliveries.
  • Track samples, approvals, lab dips, strike-offs, and submissions, maintaining accurate records throughout.
  • Proactively identify and resolve any production or delivery issues, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Attend and support customer meetings where required.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in an Account Manager or Import Merchandiser role within a product-led environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with both customers and suppliers.
