Assistant Buyer – Fashion
We’re excited to offer an opportunity for a talented Junior Buyer to join this retailer in a newly created position.
You will assist in the sourcing, negotiating and purchasing of products that meet the company’s vision and buying strategy.
Assistant Buyer Key Responsibilities:
- Plan a commercial range within your own areas alongside the Buyer and Buying Director
- Maintain a clear understanding of the customer brand handwriting
- Ensure the supply base has the capability to meet requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers for best price
- Review competitor activity and regularly assess price architecture
- Meeting deadlines within the buying calendar
- Set clear performance standards
- Present the range in trading, selection, sign off and review meetings
- Actively trade the department
- Regularly visit stores and work closely with retail and Merchandise colleagues
- Oversee the critical path for the department
What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience working on a fashion product is essential
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
